Directions By Car

Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield is the UK's newest purpose built airport, situated on the site of the former RAF Finningley, in the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster within South Yorkshire. Situated just 7 miles from Doncaster and 25 miles from Sheffield, Robin Hood Airport currently handles in excess of 1 million passengers per year flying to over 40 destinations across the globe. Part of the Airport site is being developed into a Business and Technology Park which could potentially be linked with the M18 motorway via a link road at Junction 3.

Routes

From the North or South via the A1. Leave the A1(M) at J34 (Blyth) and take the A614 heading towards Bawtry. Follow signs for Robin Hood Airport.

From the West via the M62 Take the M62 (eastbound) towards Hull. Leave the M62 at J35 and follow the M18 (southbound). Leave the M18 at J5 and head (eastbound) on the M180 leaving ALMOST IMMEDIATELY at J1. Follow signs for Robin Hood Airport.

From the East via the M180 Follow the M180 to the end. At the roundabout take the right hand lane. Follow all the way around. Coming back on yourself now heading eastbound on the M180. As you rejoin the M180 heading back towards Scunthorpe take the very first exit (J1) and follow signs for Robin Hood Airport.

From the North or South via the M18 Leave the M18 at J4 and follow signs for Robin Hood Airport.

Parking

Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield boasts a large spacious onsite car park, with over 2500 spaces, all conveniently located adjacent to the terminal building. This award confirms that Robin Hood Airport has introduced effective measures to create a safe and secure environment and restricts opportunities for crimes to be committed.

Directions By Train

Doncaster station is 7 mi (11 km) from the airport. Doncaster is 1 hour 35 minutes from London Kings Cross or 20 minutes from Sheffield station (using direct services). Several direct bus services link Doncaster station with the airport. In addition, the airport lies alongside the Doncaster to Lincoln railway line, and plans for a station at Finningley to replace that closed in 1961 have been submitted for local planning permission. Doncaster Council are now considering this with a target opening date of 2011
