Prestwick Airport

Glasgow Prestwick Airport is synonymous with the history of Scottish Aviation. Many people will remember the airport for Elvis’ visit in 1960 or as the transatlantic gateway during the 1960’s to 1980’s. However, the airport’s future has never been brighter. The foresight in 1964 of the airport architects and planners in designing a facility capable of handling 3 million passengers a year now looks certain to be justified.

Parking

All of Glasgow Prestwick Airport's car parks have achieved Park Mark Status. The Park Mark® Safer Parking award is granted to parking areas that have achieved the requirements of a risk assessment as conducted by the Police. These requirements mean that we have put in place measures that help to deter criminal activity and anti-social behaviour, thereby doing everything we can to prevent crime and reduce the fear of crime when parking at Glasgow Prestwick Airport.

Directions By Public Transport

Buses

The X99/X100 airport express bus service offers passengers a fast, comfortable and reliable service between Edinburgh, Glasgow and the airport outwith public transport hours.

The service is available for passengers who require check-in prior to 07:30 on weekdays or 10:00 on Sundays. The service is also available for passengers who arrive at the airport on late night flights as the last train departs from the airport at 23:08.

These buses are using the public bus stops on the A79. Access to buses destined for Glasgow and the north can be accessed from the railway bridge located in the terminal building.

Coaches

Each Coach Company will be charged £8.00 per entry of our Terminal Short Stay Car Park. Companies will be Invoiced three times per year ( April / August / December ). All Coaches are subject to a 1 hour maximum stay. All coaches must use the (all vehicles lane). Follow short stay car park signage through car park to coach stop which is beside the fence line at the A79. On exit use the ( all vehicles lane) and press the help point on exit to register your company name and the barrier will be raised.
